Welcome!
We're pleased to announce the launch of a new blog! To those who were following our old blog, thanks for making the switch, we promise to make it worth the visit!
Our old blog had really only functioned as a means to announce our upcoming events but we wanted to offer our readers more. Our new blog will have much more content and we hope for it to become a resource for art lovers, budding photographers and established photographers alike!
We’ll be posting regularly to offer our readers special articles on photographers (mainly local, from the Ottawa-area), camera profiles and photography lessons as well as information regarding our upcoming events at the gallery. Why the move to a new blog? This blog is incorporated right into our website, making it easier for us to update and format the way we like.
Len Ward, architect, photographer and the owner of arts&architecture, will be writing regular entries talking about cameras (many of them featured in the glass cabinets at the gallery) as well as explaining how photography works to give readers a better understanding of their camera and how to achieve great results.
Another one of our new blog features will be a Q&A each month for all things photography-related. If you have any questions about how to use your camera, how to take a particular type of photograph or how you can revive old photographs or slides, please send us an email and we will aim to answer it in a future post!
We have also started a newsletter that will be sent out monthly; consider signing up for regular updates straight to your inbox and for monthly vouchers that can be applied in-store on framing orders.
