Born in 1955 in Cobourg, Ontario, Len Ward came to Ottawa in 1974 to study architecture at Carleton University. There his long relationship with photography also began. After graduating in 1980, he took a position with the National Museums of Canada where he was involved with projects such as the National Aviation Museum, the Museum of Civilization and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography.
In 1987 he left the public sector for private practice, becoming a partner in Temprano Young & Ward Architects Inc. In 2007 he left behind his involvement with the firm in order to establish arts&architecture, a venture which saw the coming together of his passions for both architecture and photographic art. His Old Ottawa South location accommodates his architectural practice and photographic studio.

Elizabeth joined arts&architecture in 2009 to contribute her experience in architecture, interior design and art directing. In the past 23 years she has worked both in Canada and the United States and has been involved in all stages of project evolution, from initial concept development through to final execution.
As an intern architect at arts&architecture, Elizabeth is involved in a multitude of projects for both public and private clients. Among her greatest strengths are her artistic sensibility, technical knowledge of design software and her ability to communicate in three languages - English, French and Czech.

A graduate of the architecture program at Carleton University, Ana brings to arts&architecture her strong design skills, artistic interests and her proficiency with a number of creative software tools. She communicates in English, French and Spanish and has travelled and studied abroad. Ana works as an intern architect on a variety of projects for len ward • architecture.

Melina joined arts&architecture in 2011, bringing her design skills and over all creativity to our team. While her primary role is as an interior designer and architect technologist, working on many of our public and private sector projects.
